1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the International Trade Forum of India (“ITFOI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit itfoi.org (the “Site”) or interact with our forms, including membership enquiries, event registrations, and newsletter sign-ups.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: name, organization, designation, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, LinkedIn profile, country/state/city, industry, company size, annual turnover, areas of interest, and any message you submit through our Membership, Event Registration, or Newsletter forms.

Information collected automatically: pages visited, referring URL, landing page, device type, and browser, along with UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) when you arrive via a tracked link.

Information collected server-side: your IP address and an approximate country derived from it, used for attribution and fraud prevention - never trusted from client-submitted values.

3. How We Use Your Information

To respond to membership applications, event registration interest, and general enquiries.

To create and manage a lead record in our CRM, assign it to the relevant team (Membership or Events), and follow up regarding suitable opportunities.

To send confirmation emails and, where you've opted in, newsletter updates about trade reports, opportunities, and market intelligence.

To understand how visitors use the Site and improve its content and performance.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics. Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who support our operations (for example, CRM, email delivery, or analytics providers), each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and with government or regulatory authorities where required by law.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
